New owner for Holloid Plastics [2009-03-13]

Ex-ICI and Tetra Pak executive, Henning von Spreckelsen, has acquired the majority controlling stake in Basingstoke-based injection moulder Holloid Plastics.
The company now embarking on a structural reorganisation focused on internal efficiency, improved service quality and increased speed of operation.
“Holloid has invested heavily in the latest robotics and production processes. It is well positioned to not only grow its business regardless of the economic landscape, but also to improve its processes and diversify its services to a widened customer base,” said von Spreckelsen.
“By introducing an in-house design and innovation facility and increasing our capacity through 24-hour working in the factory, I believe that we can drive synergy savings for our customers at the same time as offering significant improvements in quality and lead times.”
In one of his first moves as executive chairman of Holloid, von Spreckelsen expanded the company’s 30-strong workers with additional recruitment.
German-born von Spreckelsen, 42, is a chartered engineer who holds an MBA from Swiss business school, IMD. He also has a masters degree in electrical engineering from Southampton University and is a Sainsbury management fellow. For more information,please visting http://www.bossgoo.com
